How Many RMS's?

How many have you had done... i am on my 5th RMS... never had a "Major" Leak, just been told by the Tech that its leaking and should be looked after when can, while teh cars been on the Hoist... all Warranty and 2 more years of CPO Left :P

Does the RMS depend on your Driving habbit? i drive mine like i stole it...

Also when was the latest RMS design put into circulation?

6th rsm indicates that it is a systemic problem. Are they taking measurement of the rear main? it is most likely misaligned so it is not dependent on you driving habit.

you should also check on your IMS seal. Sometimes it is not the RMS leaking but the IMS instead.

I babied mine on the breakin.
First RMS @ 4,000 miles.
Second @ 12,000 after a day @ Sebring
Third around 20,000 after a day @ Sebring.
I was getting pissed and they told me the seal was improved.
3 track days since and no leaks.
@ 49,000 now.

I'm still in CPO - what do I have to do to get a new engine? Never had a drop of oil out of kilter. I'm planning to do 30-60 laps of the N'Ring during my vacation this year.

Is there any way that I can make sure that any failure will be before my pilgrimage?

Danke!

take it to 117 in fourth, shift into second, listen for the sound that is music to the CPO'd ears...
