^^^ Something tells me at 25mph those SKID MARKS (assuming they're from his car) would not have happened where he spun around to almost 180-270 degrees facing the opposite direction. I hope he is okay, but at the same token shame him for driving like this in neighborhoods where innocent lives could have been hurt or taken.

We should all use this as a reminder to be careful. Even if we are experienced drivers, that does not mean the elements around us (human and non-human) are able to react and adjust like us.

It's a neighborhood for goodness sakes. He's lucky a street hockey game wasn't on or he'd have been sticked to death. Hate to see a beautiful car wrecked but obviously this ****** couldn't drive either. Hope the tree's OK. I can hear the guy now, "but officer I was going the speed limit when I saw a ball roll into the street"

speaking as someone with kids, i can't believe what a freaking moron that driver was. Driving around in a residential area like that deserves to have your car totalled and license taken away. What a tool.

Apparently, some guy in a black 996 with a gt3 tail lost it coming through the s turns 200 ft from my house and pretty much totaled his 996 c2. (I have a black 997 C2S with aerocup kit).Temp plates still on the car from Fl. The driver experienced under-steer,over-steer, then over-correction over-steer 180 degrees in the opposite direction into a tree. It was refreshing to see all my neighbors come by to see if i was OK, and it wasn't even me. The car took the hit square in the door, roof and A-pillar, with minimal intrusion into the cockpit.Very impressed.

The accident marks sure look likes excessive speed here. I also agree that it is inappropriate behavior for that area.

I would like to ask the OP to confirm that Posted limit in that area. Being from MA I can tell you that from the picture a street like that can have a posted limit any where from 25 to 45 mph. I highly disagree that there would be a street hockey game going on in that road. The width of the road and the dbl center lane marker in MA would probably make it 45MPH here.

Agree that even then it is stupid to drive over the top with that many houses around.

BTW.....Can I grab his front bumper, wing and right skirt?

Sadly, the parents in my neighborhood are the ones that drive like morons.

Practicing x-cross around tricycles! IMHO - he/she should do a little time public service without a license - perhaps maintaining playgrounds.

We will probably see this car in a few weeks on ebay with the door removed stating it had a "light collision" along with a high reserve.

No bids of course.

Looks like that tree saved the neighbors Jag.

I'm with the guy who wants tree justice. Losing that much bark will probably kill it. Which, luckily, in this case is the only shame in the accident. A replacement of a tree that size with yard/dirt/sod work around it would easily cost a few thousand dollars, which the homeowner will not see because the tree will struggle a few months before it goes into shock and dies.

Well, outside the fact that a total idiot can afford a fast car. That's a shame too.
