B&M under car SSK

Just had this installed and I can say I really like it. Don't know how the "in car" ssk feels but I like mine. Pretty much feels the same as stock but shorter throws(that is what it is for). My regular mechanic put it in for $40. The porsche dealer wanted $275 for the in car kit. This looks easily reversible.

Thanks for the advice.

I had the in-car and wasn't crazy about it. I just ordered the under car and felt one in TurboRon's car over the weekend. It felt awesome.

Set it at 30%. There is a difference.

I have mine set to 30% reduction, and the difference vs. stock is like night and day. The shift throw from 3rd to 4th gear decreased from 5" stock to 3.5".

Here's a comparison, with stock shift throws on top, and B&M on bottom. The throw reduction in 3rd gear is misleading, because neutral with the B&M is moved forward a bit.

Yea, I can feel a big difference. the throw is much shorter. I don't see how anyone can't tell the difference??? If you like it or not is an individual thing. I like it.

Question Have a quick question....

I am very interested in the B&M under car shifter but where is the best place to buy it (certainly not from the Porsche dealer)!

Brandywine, Suncoast, EVO, ????

Also, it's my understanding that quite a few folks also add the EVO ShiftLink. How necessary is this? Seems like a reasonable thing to do (replace plastic with aluminum).

Please help enlighten me. Thanks.

Got mine from Justin at Brandywine...I installed it 2 weeks ago and love it...I bought the shiftlink also but returned it ...not necessary...IMHO

I also got mine from Justin at Brandywine for $175.

The Evo shiftlink replaces a stock plastic piece inside the car with an aluminum one. Apparently some people have experienced the plastic stock piece breaking (they must shift pretty hard and fast??!!), but it's not an insignificant amount of work to install it, so I passed.
