Looking for specs for an agressive street alignment that I can also use at the track next month. '02 C4S with PSS10's and adjustable H&R sways.

Thanks,

Roc

Probably the GT3 street alignment. That is what was recommended on some of the other posts. That is what I am having done next week when they drop the GT3 sway bar in the back. You have a widebody though so I am not sure if the same applies to you?

+1 on GT3 Street Alignment. I had this on my 996 and just had it done to my 997. The specs are available in the alignment computer.

Same tires for street and track?

Do you have GT3 monoballs or camber plates at the front for addional front camber?

When I tracked mine on street tires I ran:
Front: -2.0 camber / 0 toe
Rear: -2.0 camber / .20 toe-in (per side...measured in degrees)

Now that I'm on "better" tires I run
Front: -3.0 camber / .10 toe-OUT (measured in degrees)
Rear: -2.6 camber / .25 toe-in (per side...measured in degrees.

I have Bridgestone s-02's, street tires

No, I have the factory camber plates/strut mounts. I think they are only good up to 1.0 degree.

Thanks for your input

Roc- you are correct, you will not get the full (1.5 I think) GT3 camber adjustment, but everything else will dial in nicely. I have not experienced any unusual tire wear and the car handles very well.

I run -1.5 camber in front (max without plates) and -2.0 in the back, 0 toe.
I wouldn't go over 2 camber in the back otherwise the tire wear will start to suffer.

99 C2 with H&R Street Performance Coilovers and GT3 sways (in the softest setting).

for a C4S with stock camber plates, the max camber is 1.5F and 2.0R. Do you guys have any suggestions on how to get more camber all around? I'm running RA1s...

I just saw a set of F/R Tarrett camber plates for 997 on ebay- that might be the ticket.

Get front GT3 control arms. Cheap and you'll get all the camber you need.

The part numbers for my 00 C2 are below - might be a few more pieces, but your shop should know what you need. Pricing is around $275 per side.

996-341-121-90 - right conrol arm
996-341-122-90 - left control arm
996-341-441-90 - inner arm (x2)
various shims for camber setting
connecting pieces (nuts and washers)

For those running 1-2 degrees of camber, how is your tire wear? I know toe typically has more impact on premature tire wear, but camber should have some effect as well. I've got gt3 control arms installed, but have them set at stock camber at the moment as I don't feel like running through tires just for the sake of street and occassional DEs.

The factory GT3 monoballs are the same design as the Tarett plates and they're cheaper. IIRC they're $150 each through Suncoast. One thing to note is you'll need the GT3 specific upper nut as it's part of the plate desing. It's only a couple of bucks though on top of the plates themselves. If you're currently at -1.5 in the front you'll get about 2.5-2.75 with the plates.

If you're interrested...I've got an extra one that I'd sell cheap. then you'd just have to source one plate and the nuts through the dealer.
