C4S or Cayman S?
kindly incorporate by reference my comments at the Cayman forum in reply to the original posting for these two threads.
I agree with Ben and Malakas. I enjoyed driving the Cayman S, big time, but preferred the look, interior space, and overall feel of the C4S. oh yeah, and the low-end torque.
but like I said, you just can't go wrong either way. and like John Sebastian said in that great song, "you just gotta make up your mind, say yes to one and let the other one ride...."

Thanks guys, I'm going with a Cayman. Fits better (don't forget there's a 996tt cab and 550 Maranello in the garage... so it's a nice compliment, perhaps more so than the 4S).

Though you can have your 430... my combo would be a Stradale/ RR Sport S/C.

As for the Turbo and 550, they're my dads-- but unlike most young chaps here, they actually are "ours" as any local 6speeder can attest.

Most of all, I'm looking forward to getting out on the track.
That being said... if your 996 were for sale, might be a different story. I like your taste.

Thanks! I can't wait.

eh... I wouldn't complain if I had to see that combo everyday.
1) My local bimmer dealer ruined our relationship with my 335 issues.
2) The only thing the 335 has better than the Porsches is speed (and maybe practicality); and the speed gets old-- plus it's still not as fast the other cars I drive, so I might as well go with something that handles infinitely better (aka Cayman). As far as tracking goes, I'd much rather build a Cayman than a 335 track-rat over time-- especially considering the overheating issues 335s often see.
3) I don't need practicality right now...
I'm not saying the 335 isn't an AWESOME car (I'd say it's one of the BEST around-- and would NOT have gotten rid of mine had it been fixed).
Overall, a Cayman S is the best fit for what I want to do (DRIVE, DRIVE, DRIVE).

Why will it hold it's value better? Do you have any real world data to back up that claim?
