went with the ghl (thanks for the deal nine9six!). perfect combination of quiet daily driving and ***** when you get on it. best part is no bassy resonance/dronniness at any rpm!

OP, if you're looking for just sound not performance, you might want to do a search of just the 3.6L/3.4L muffler hack depending MY of your 996. The thread was heavily discussed on rennlist forum. Many people whos done it seem content on that. $75-300 range to get the job done. Good luck
