I had my clunking noise resolved, hopefully it is a permanent solution. They told me that they had to lubricate the stock sway bar, I think they also tightened it and now it is fine. We will see if it holds up.

I don't think I have ever owned a set that didn't.
I have had my PSS9 for quite a while, and they make no noise - on the street or track.

My Pss9 never made noise, the endlinks to the GT3 front bar keep loosen causing a clunking noise.

With a PSS9/10 install, according to Bilstein, you reuse all the parts above the spring, no bumpstops, and all the washers on front, just washers in rear. If the rubber or bearing parts are worn, taken a set, etc, then you need new parts. The rubber parts are not expensive, and the bearings are less than $30 each. I ordered all new parts, except stop plates (concave washers) I haven't installed mine yet, waiting for the X74 front upper strut mounts to come in at Sunset.

both of my fronts use to clunk badly! i had the right front coliover disassembled and reassembled by a local porsche shop. the tech said he greased all the top portions of the coilover using automotive grease b4 reinstalling... the result, no more clunking!!!

while the right side no longer clunked, the left side was clunking and getting louder. b4 going back to the shop, i decided to try the chain lube. i sprayed Motul offroad motorcycle chain lube all over the top of the coilover and all over the helper spring. the first day, the clunking was still there, the next day the clunking went away.. it still clunks once in a while on the left during turning, but not as loud.

IMO, the chain lube works but dont know how long it will hold up. if it starts clunking louder and more frequently on the left side again, i will probably jam some automotive grease on the top of the coilover. hope this helps!

My PSS9's had noise on the right front that was most noticable when driving w/o a passenger and going over speedbumps. After checking all the earlier mentioned bolts and fittings, I was finally able to eliminate the noise by rotating the upper spring about 180 degrees in relation to the lower spring. I assumed that one or both of the springs' ends weren't quite square and the combination was making the middle spring seat bind on the ride-height adjusting treads. Whatever the real source was, it's been about 6 months on my DD and the nosie has not returned.

Anyone have any idea how long or how many miles those thrust sheets are supposed to last? If they're good for 50k or better then it's a no brainer to just include them in any new install, eh? It would seem to me that you would only need one on the bottom of each spring, as it is just an additional "bearing" for the spring to rotate on as it compresses and expands. If one end is fixed, it shouldn't matter as long as the other end can rotate. Opinions?
