That is a named component coverage plan. It will give you the basic coverage for the major systems of the cars. It does leave out some electronic control items such as traction control, PSM, power seats, etc. The preferred policy form is an exclusionary version. The difference is that the named component plan lists the specific items that are covered while the exclusionary plan says it covers everything except those items which are excluded. It is broader coverage. No warranty that I'm familiar with will cover aftermarket modifications. If you are comfortable with the price, I think AAA is a decent option.
Price is about average. The problem I have found is that if you have any performance modifications, these after-market warranty companies may fight to not pay for your repairs.
3500 will buy a lot of small repairs....much more than I have incurred as a 4 year porsche owner. If your engine blows, the company may try to fight your claim due to modification of the cars computer, exhaust, and intake... it wouldnt be hard for them to say the engine was pushed harder than it was created to push.
I was in the same boat a few months ago in my search, my local dealer gave me the heads-up on the aftermarket companies flying in to check the cars out in person and deny claims.
Maybe someone who has blown an engine under aftermarket warranty can tell us better.

Also check and see if its 100% covered. My buddy had an aftermarket warranty on his Rover and when he had repairs to be done, they would cover only a certain amount. They said according to their book, an altenator should only cost $xyz and they would not cover the whole repair..so he had to pay the difference on every repair. The way it worked was that he payed for the repair and then they sent him a reimbursement check...ALWAYS for about 50% of the actual repair. So check the fine print on what they cover, if its 100% covered and if the dealer has a good working relationship with them so repairs can be done with little hassles....
Most aftermarket warranty companies provide direct payment to the repair shop. I think there are fewer disputes about labor rates and parts cost than there used to be. I have seen where some claims require the use of non-OE parts. This is more common on domestic vehicles where Monroe is the OE strut manufacturer and their part is less than the GM version.
You should check if they have any limitations about the amount paid for certain repairs or an annual limit. Also, check if they allow you to use any repair facility you choose. Most do.

Great points guys. I talk to these warranty companies daily to make claims. There are some companies out there that will cover almost everything but they cost like 8 grand. I have found that a good warranty company that is ligit you will spend about 3500-4000 for. One other thing you want to look for is, what about the company itself is it a legit company and is it going to go out of biz in the next 3 years? You will be surprised they can fall quickly and right before they fall they denny pretty much all claims. The warranty companies can and will send out inspectors which is a third party and do not work for the company directly, If you have anything aftermarket it gives them a reason to deny the claim and they will. They are in the biz to make money not restore your car if they get the chance to get out of a claim they will. The best way to find a warranty company that works for your car is do some research on all the common failure components and see if they are on the contract. Sometimes with an inclusionary warranty they just put a bunch of bs on the warranty that will never fail to make the consumer think wow there is a lot of stuff on this contract, must be a good one. Check to see if there is a deductible if there is see of there is an option to pay a little extra for no deductible. Make sure the labor rate cap does not go below your shop rate you take your car to. Also make sure they will pay for diag too. All of these things that we have mentioned can be difficult to find in a warranty but if you do find one it will be ideal and you wont have any surprises.
