Installing GT3 bumper. License plate yes or no?

My new front bumper is being painted and put on this week. I live in Maryland where a front license plate is supposed to be on your car. I'm not sure I wish to obey that law since it will look ugly and molest the bumper. What would you do?

unless u drive like an a-hole, no cop is going to pull you over in a 911 for not having a front license plate.

over here in CA, it's primarily used to give cops a reason to pull over suspected gang members or low lifes in civics and other ****ty cars. i'm not being elitist, i just used to drive a civic and knew the import scene a little too well =/

I'm sure as soon as I post this, I'll get pulled over. I've had my 911 for 6 months and haven't been pulled over for not having my front plate on.

In Colorado it is a non-moving violation with a $15 fine. My friend with a 325i was pulled over a couple of weeks ago for speeding, but the cop didn't say anything about his missing plate.

My GT3 bumper is plateless. Don't do it - you'll be fine. I carry my plate with me in case they ask when I am pulled over and it's on the list of things to take care of.

Don't put one on till you have too. I was trouble free for about 12 months, then got a written warning. $250 fine here... so the plate went on and I feel all the safer for it

I did the plate, it looks 1000 times better without it but it's just not worth the trouble in NJ. I had no plate for a while on my 986S and the local town cops were just a-holes about it. I am just to old to deal with that crap..so on went the plate.

The verdict is no plate! I went over to the body shop today. The bumper has two little holes for the plate which they are going to fill in. It's gonna look sweet!

Next question. Grill screens or no? It has the inserts already.
