Doors will not unlock?

Hi everyone,

I have a 2001 Porsche 911 C2, and i havent driven it for about 2 weeks, so i think the battery may be dead. I tried pushing unlock with my remote key and nothing happens, i decided to try and put hte key in the lock and turn it, but also nothing happens? Is this because hte battery is dead? How am i suppose to get into the car?

Thanks

hmmmm....very suspicious first post....so we are either going to help a noobie or tell a thief how to get in. I'm conflicted. I will tell you that the key fob goes to sleep after 5 days....

Yeah, after 5 days you have to use the actual key rather than the remote.

haha definitly not trying to steal a car, i actually dont think the battery is dead, because the alarm light still flashes on the dash. Also, if the remote has gone to sleep, why is it that i cannot put the key in the door and unlock it? Nothing happens when i turn the key.....??

I tried turning the key the other way, the door still does not unlock? I also tried removing the battery from the remote key and putting it back, the vehicle still does not unlock.... i have read that their is a emergency unlock for the hood inside the passenger wheel well, but is there any other way to open the car? Even if i open the hood, that will probably just set the alarm off...would it re-awake the alarm and allow me to unlock with the key? The car would lock and unlock fine about a week ago...any help would be much appreciated
