The thought that crossed my mind there is...on the Aero cars that fan pushes air out into the same area that the car is taking in air as it's moving. I'm wondering if blowing hot air into a pressurized area is just pushing it out then immediatly pulling it back in through the intake snorkle anyhow.

I had big plans to test all of this and ran out of time to do it last season.

All Porsche fans blow INTO the engine compartment, drawing cool air from outside. Those that do not, have their wiring backwards. You do not want to suck air up from the bottom of the engine past the headers.

fellas it's real simple and we've been down this road many times before. here's why you buy this product in ranked order

1 you think it's hot looking v. stock
2 you think it sounds awesome v. stock
3 you hope that it doesn't put down any less power than the factory unit

i appreciate all the qb internet engineers coming on here asking for more from the vendor, but honestly, the vendor's not going to have the information you want. they don't have the time or money or interest because 99% of the audience will buy it because of 1 and 2 and sing the same song as what the vendor told them along the perf gains front. vice versa, the qb internet jockeys won't go out of their way to disprove the vendors claims (same reasons, time money incentive is not big enough).

the more veteran or astute buyer will know that you don't buy this thing to make your 911 outright more powerful. you buy it for aesthetic/aural reasons and that's that.

Hey guys I just wanted to let you know that somone has accepted our offer to be the first forum member to try out this intake. The Intake will be shipping out next week as the customer is out of town this week. He has gladly accepted to post up his honest opinion about the product and is more than welcome to put it on a dyno or take it to the track. He currently has the IPD Plenum upgrade, I'm not sure if he has an ECU upgrade or aftermarket exhaust system yet. These details will be posted when he posts his review.

I would like to see the results too because I want to know how well that box can push out or how great it sounds.

Why is price such a guarded secret on every freak'n part that ever comes out? Invariably, the next 50 posts after the product announcement are: PRICE?

WTF.... posting the price is not offering the damn thing for sale and violating any rules. This place is for INFORMATION. Price is info. I would like a new rule posted: No announcing new products without telling us how much the damn thing costs!

Wow, this is an old resurrected post. I am the member that purchased and installed the airbox and can answer any questions you may have. I have not heard of a second being purchased so mine may be the only car with one on this board. if you search my previous posts you will see a brief review with Pics.

It'll be nice if you could post some photos. I'm about to order one for myself, 997.1, I'm sure it wont bring much difference to my rear wheels but for the bling effect, I think it might just work. I'm on the decisive point. Lets see your photos if you could please. Thanks!

I have seen many happy GTI people with Carbonio. I plan to get the Carbonio intake in the near future for my GTI when I fell like spending money on my car. I can tell you guys here the quality is top notch and everyone I know that has one loves it.
