Today was a good Porsche 911 day

(cue Ice Cube)

Can you guys relate?

I just had my car in for an oil change and overall health check. Had them spend about 1.5 hours checking fluids, suspension, etc and my trusty indy said all is good.

I love the feeling of picking up your car knowing it's in tip-top shape. Too bad I can't drive it much these days due to ice, snow, travel and shortened daylight hours.

Just wanted to share with the car fanatics here.

mine's covered by a local porsche dealer's aftermarket warranty. must you use the dealership's services to keep intact the CPO?

I never asked!!! just assumed.....it is a true Porsche factory CPO, so my bet is yes....especially if anything ever came up - I'm removing all doubt!!!

are you guys as attentive as i am when returning to the car to see if there are any signs of vandalism, dings etc?

esp if you parked at the mall or market with some tight parking spaces? i've seen too many close calls, too many..

I'm an "end of the row, hang over the outside line" parker with all my cars....my family gives me grief everytime, but my 130,000 mile Armada still gets "how do you like your new truck" questions!!!! no dings, and I get front end stone chips fixed every year!!!! My Porsche gets treated way better than that!!!!

I'm always lookin' for a "safe" parking spot and walkin' a mile to the door. A huge pet peeve with me is door dings, and it seems most in my area are rather careless when it comes to that! And yes, I usually give the ride a once over when I get back to it before leavin'.

i like those armadas esp with the captain chairs in the back. i have an '03 4runner that i just picked up and i expect it to look as good as new for a good while. one of the other reasons the 911s been getting less drive time is because i'm so comfortable in the 4runner. i have no desire to commute in the 911 unless it's a rare sun day after XX consecutive days of rain here in seattle.

i treat both cars just about the same.

I think for the 60K service I'll take it to Barrier Porsche just so they have it in their books all is well. My warranty expires at 70K miles or so.
