How about flat or semi black center and high gloss lip. Seen it on a Cayman and it looks nice.

That would look good with blacked out wheels, but if you have to do the red thing.....make it a thin red paint on the lip. I've seen the fat red and it looks nasty.

Unless you plan on wearing a cape and latex forget the blk rims on a blk car and go with gunmetal grey.
