Ruf turbo

i Just purchased my first P-car and am ready to start the mods.

Just thinking of making it into a turbo from ruf or do i need to work on susppension and brakes before getting the horsepower?

the car is an 01 C2 with only 13800 mile

Thanks

First, congratulations! GREAT choice!

Making it into a turbo?? Major task and ultra expensive! My advice, ROW M030 suspension first. Go to Aaron w/ Suncoast Porsche (FL) (877) 923-1700. Tell him Paul in CA sent you!

Then, change the rear bumperettes out to body-colored ones. Call Eric w/ Bumperplugs.com

These are the best 'bang-for-the-buck' mods (IMO). Everything else comes natually..............

If you wanted a turbo, you should have bought one...they are cheap right now...

Before horsepower, you need brakes and suspension... no sense building something that goes too fast to stop and kill yourself in it.

Cheers

one thing you don't do in a late model Porsche... add turbos. IF you want to go that route, but a turbo becuase in the end it will be much cheaper. If you get it from Ruf, expect to pay upwards of $30k for the upgrade alone

Hi Jarrod,

Thanks for all the info and i did see the TPC suoercharger just yesterday.

Am i correct in thinking that the 996tt is all wheel drive with PSM. My thoughts are to want the a** slinging of two wheel drive.

Thanks for all the help

yes TT is AWD. people convert the car to RWD all the time. IF you have a deeper pocket just go and buy the GT2... but that is a different story all together and 95% of the owners can't drive that car as it is (to 80% of it's limit)
