New Seats and New Tint.

Pics of my car. Thanks Jason (jhuang25) for the seats and Jef @ TNT Top Notch Tinting for the tint. I think the center console needs to be darker maybe paint to match exterior. Lowering and wheels are next.

These seats are aswome! I recommend them to anyone with standard seats.

I will never own a 911 without upgraded seats. Its almost like getting a new car.

Are those seats black? I thought about putting black seats in mine with the graphite grey interior but was worried about it looking "funny". It looks good in your ride!

Agree w/ racesx, I've got the same color combo too and those seats look great in there..

Now you've got me thinking about making barstools out of my existing seats and upgrading..

Yes they are black with alcantara. They are a great upgrade.

Yeah, looks really good! I've been wanting to upgrade my seats for a while now but finding it very rough to find any seats in the graphite grey. You can find black all day long and I always kicked the idea around to try it. Thanks for pulling it off! Any other black in your interior to help tie the seats in? Looks like maybe floor mats? What about back seats ... or just leave them down?

Not trying to hijack this thread but I thought there were issues using 997 seats in a 996. Something to do with the airbags being in the seats in the 997 and in the doors of the 996.

Just black floormats right now. I am considering having my center console painted. They are so comfortable they could be green!

Since you do not enable the airbags in the chairs there is no conflict. The airbags in the doors work as normal. I have read that some people's airbag light comes on after an install. I did not have any issues.

Couple of questions:

Did you have to do anything on the passenger side for the airbags to work properly? I thought we had a weight sensor to detect a passenger? (actually, since the baby seat kit comes with an airbag disable, maybe this isn't the case)

What did the shop have to do to connect power to the seats? (I believe all 997 seats have at least a power back)

Thanks!

Love the alcantara seats. The tint really pulls it together on the outside. Have you considered getting carbon fiber on the interior instead of painting? It would look better IMHO.
