Ok so my steering wheel is old and the leather is fading,got a 4 spoke in black on eBay but the air bag was used I'm about to get a great deal on a black 3 spoke from someone on here. What does everyone think would it look ok? Keep in mind my car is black and a lot of the interior pieces are already black. I've changed my shifter and e brake handle to black leather already and it looks fine. Give me some feedback please

 

What do you mean the airbag is "used"? Did it go off and the seller try to stuff it back in or do you mean it came with a used steering wheel. Assuming the airbag isn't past it's shelf life (and hasn't been set off), it should be OK. BTW, I had a black steering wheel with a terracotta interior and it looked great.

 

Well there was a slit under the Porsche symbol where the air bag comes out. The seller is giving me my money back so I'm not worried about it anymore. Wouldn't trust it in the car ......

 

I agree - not worth the worry. Sounds as if it didn't go off but that the leather opening is split. If they go off, they can't be re-used.

 

we purchased a black race steering wheel with our tan interior. we also had black recaro seats installed as well. before we purchased the black, we were skeptical too, wondering if it would look okay. i've been pleased with the black. it breaks up the tan a bit. if you'd like, i can send some interior pictures your way.

 

I have a black Alcantera 3 spoke wheel in a beige interior it look fine. Sorry about the bright picture.
