997 Turbo tips...will they fit a 996?

I have a friend with a 997 turbo who is changing out his exhaust and asked me if I wanted his tips. Will the 997 turbo tips work on a 996?

Depends on how they hook up i have 997s tips on my 996 but i had them welded on and i had to tilt them out due to the fact that they are much wider then 996 tips and they would burn the bumper if i had them on straight

They are not for everyone. I think they look fine and the opening doesn't matter since you are looking at them standing up from the rear...
Mine came from a 997S. I have to remove the old 996 tips and weld an elbow that goes from the old 996 pipe to 2" in order to being able to attach the tips with the screws.
Now I have a wide range for adjustment from basically two fronts (the old 996 system and the new 997 built-in adjustment on the 997 tips) in-out, left right, up, down, etc...

no cutting.... original 996 bumper. Been using them for almost a year. No burnout on the bumper yet. I want to ceramic coat them flat black.
