+1. Most HID kits are not projector lights as OEM. Definitely look different.

I used Aline HID for the high beam as my low beam is factory litronic (HID). I chose the latest generation, digital ballast and it's VERY small (slightly larger than a credit card... apprx 3/4" thick), which allowed the unit to easily be install behind the headlight using 3M Velcro w/ peel-away adhesive. My DIY looks very nice and works perfectly w/o drilling into the body. As far as the light temp colors go, the lower K-rating does offer a little more light, but many of the later model cars seemingly have more color vs earlier generations. Years ago, I converted my Jag to HID and went with 6K, and as they warmed-up (w/i 30 seconds), they lost their color and to me, began to look similiar to very bright stock bulbs. So this time, I went with the higher K-rated bulb; there is no right or wrong just a matter of personal preference. PM w/ any questions.
