Where to get HID kits?
Where to get HID kits?
Does anyone have recommendations to buy HID kits? My budget is ~ $150
It seems most people prefer the 6000K
I have an arctic silver and I've always like the light blue look in bulbs... Should I get 8000K or 10000K?
I definitely don't want a ricer blue.

I have 8,000's in my head lights and fog lights they have a hint of blue but are not like the blue ones you see on all the civics haha. I got them from a local shop. But in my Durango i got the slim hid kit off ebay for 80 bucks and they have been working fine for a year.
i have put 8000k in all my cars, to me its the best if you want a real blue,
i dont have a good pic when i did it to my porsche (in the shop) or i would take some ,but i have some of my vette
hope this helps, i got them from a local radio/custom shop
this isnt the best pic but you can see the color of the bulbs, and i dont have litronics
got new pix

this is 8000k with projectors on my old vette

Personally, I don't like anything over 6000k. Even 6000k bulbs put out less lumens than stockish 4100k bulbs. Our eyes are more sensitive to blue, so the higher kelvin bulbs LOOK brighter, but they actually aren't... they just glare more.
Those 8000K's look really good!
Thanks for the pictures. The ad for http://www.xenoneyes.com/ keeps coming up. I might give them a whirl.

As others have said, the reason that all oem applications are around 4300k is because that is the part of the spectrum that puts off the most usable light. The higher you go, the dimmer the usable light is. It also begins to look silly depending on who you ask. If you want your headlights to actually provide the maximum amount of light at night, go with stock temp.
Additionally, many manufacturers make 55 watt now. I have used www.retro-solutions.com in the past with great results. No affiliation.

i think youll be happy with 8000k, as u will see the ppl who dont like the 8000k dont have them and if u went with 6000k u would of wished they were more blue
lol its because they have projectors which has more of a shaper output, if i were to get some i deff would put an aftermarket hid kit in those, stock hid's are to white to me only 4300k
