Finally had it detailed...

I picked up this 996 about 2 months ago and it took that long to find a local detailer that knew what he was talking about and to set up an appointment. I was surprised at how few professional detailers work in my neck of the woods. There are hords of wash+wax guys (some of whom know what a clay bar is even) but a true pro is hard to find. Any way... pics:

Haha. I totally missed the "before" and "after." I was trying to think of a nice way to say how bad the swirl marks were! Much improved.

lugs are bad - agreed but I cant get myself to shell out $250+ for a new set.

how much did he charge you? i detail but its so not worth it, at the end of the day my back is killing me!!!!!! thats why i just do it on my car.

I have a guy on Long Island for 150...EXCELENT Job!!!!...BTW you are correct...its amazing how few competent detailers there are...

If you haven't had your lugs coated yet, we should talk. I have a powder coating setup in my basement I use for bike parts and other small items. I could do lugs for you for super cheap. Like $30 depending on how fancy of a finish you want.

Looks great - recommend you just spray the old lugs with a tremclad rust paint in silver - it's what many dealers do - cost, around $5 bucks.
