Does a Plenum make that much of a difference for our 996?

I have installed aftermarket software, catback, underdrive pulley and IPD plenum and of this list of mods IMO the IPD plenum is the single best mod I have installed, so I am one of the believers.

Slowcart - you are the first I've seen with the underdrive pulley. What are your thoughts on that? I think they claimed +6HP. Can you tell any difference in the steering or A/C performance?

Dont really know how much the pelnum upgrade makes by themself. I had mine done along with the 24/18g setup so the power difference was extrem. I know it wasn't cheap just by looking at the part itself.

It's all good no downside but you can get more info from BBI at 714-843-0200

^ I've never been a fan of underdrive pulleys that remove the harmonic dampener on the crankshaft. It's not something that will manifest itself in a short term problem, but will long term.

Kit

Hello Stephen,

I am thinking of getting the kit. What kind of gas mileage are you getting and any other tips or advice will be greatly appreciated.

I have a 2001 C2

Thanks
Alam

Fuel Economy hardly changed if any. If your right foot isn't buried in the loud pedal shes very tame and fuel efficient, same as stock 17mpg+ but you open up the Turbo and start dumping fuel through the 440cc Injectors and she will go through it pretty fast.

2000+ is a breeze for the kit, high quality parts, lots of power. I have a 99 C4 which is a little trickier. Vivid Racing is having my ECM Custom Mapped vs. 2000+ cars can use Softronic.
