New guy

Hello everyone , I have been a proud BMW M3 owner for the last 3 years , but now I think a change has come and I have finally got an oportunity to tradein my car. I really like Porsche since I was little but I think there are some important differences between them. I like sportscars and down here we do not have speed limits. My car had around 360HP so I will trade for a 2003 996 with the 320HP engine. I think the 300HP version will lack power.

Can someone adress me the most important diferences and good vs. bad things between : C4S, C4 , TARGA , C2. I know most off them run in the same price line in the pre-owned section , but what could be the best option????

Thanks

you should PM LaCab. He has had both the C4 and now has the C4S. He will be able to help you out a lot.

c2- rear wheel drive
c4- all wheel drive better handling/tracking then the c2
c4s- has a wider rear end than the c2&c4 and is all wheel drive
targa- has a glass roof with c2 body

if you can afford the c4s that is the best option because it comes with a wider rear end which i like and turbo front and rear bumper shell. btw anyone of these 996 stock will beat a m3 stock.

i think he ment that he doesn't care about the speed limit. In mexico we do have speed limits but you can get away with it. ($$) But the better the car the more money you have to let go.

Actually there is not an official speed limit on the city or city freeways. On Highways there is but usually nobody follows it.

Police down here are just learning how to use Radars so it is fairly easy to detect them and just on the worst case the speeding ticket is $30 US no mather how fast you were and there is no record registered on this tickets.

This weekend I drove a 2002 Targa for $72,000 with 7000 miles, I thought its a bit expensive but It was in really good condition. I just need to see the C4s to compare.
