it would be cheaper to get a standard rental for a day and teach her in that then transition to the Targa

That's kind of what I'm trying to tell her. I can do all mechanical work but really don't want to.

While were on the topic, is there a repair manual out there? I've searched Amazon and E-bay, no luck. I had a really nice service manual for my Boxster, it was by Bentley I think.

I guess so, when I met her she had and rode a Kawasaki Ninja. She's a little speed freak, had to marry her.

IF my wife could drive a stick I wouldn't be driving a Tip now!
I settled for a Tip coz' of that, just in case of emergencies that she needs to drive the Pcar. Well, up till now she has refused to drive it at all, she's paranoid that it's too much of a baby to me! Anyway, we do have 3 vehicles total...so I should have been "less considerate" and gone with a 6speed.

I'm glad your wife shares your passion, she deserves a chance.

If you have the patience to teach then go for it. These little learning mistakes can sometimes lead to headaches, much worse arguments. Ask me how I know

I guess I should give it a shot, she was the deciding factor on the purchase. There is no way I was leaving the showroom without this car.

Both my kids learned on my Porsches. One on a 996 and the other on the GT3. Go ahead and teach her.
