Auto door locks

how the hell can you tell it is really locked? As soon as you open the door from the inside, it automatically unlocks regardless. Do you hear it lock as you move... my car doesnt lock... never understood the central locking pushbutton either. Its a lock/unlock button, the same as your door handle.

I think there are 3 diff settings for the locking... never lock, auto lock, auto lock at 3-5mph.

buy the SmartTop module and you can open the top/roll down windows with they key fob.

NM, I found it, it may make more sense for me to just go to dealer. My manual says I can already use remote to open top. Thanks though

The auto lock is a great safety feature, why the need to drive around with your doors unlocked? You can tell that the doors are locked because the central lock switch remains lit while the car is on. It takes less than five minutes for the dealer to program it either way.

Plus you pull the door handle twice and they unlock.

Neither of my MY 99's auto lock. I kind of like it that way. If I want to lock the car, I will.
