Hey so check it out i bought the gt3 grill from porsche...and i knew it was a little longer because of the the shape of the 997 headlights....so i decided to cut it and take about 1" off on eachside (so its even) and put it back together....its not painted yet but im going to paint it the same color as my front splitters and lip and have it installed this week....i had it against the car to show fitment...tell me what u think...








this was the process....i cut about 2" off 1" on each side...used a plastic epoxy...a little bondo...and alot of sanding...lol

 

The real trick will be making it look right in the bumper... keep us posted.

Looks good, but recheck for cracks in the bondo before paint as it does not adhere well to the plastics.

 

Man, you're one brave soul! Bravo to you for giving it a shot - fortunately for me, mine came with one... Good luck and please be sure to post pictures after it's installed.
