Just wanted to share some pics of my friend's cab that we have worked on from start to finish. It's come a long way and I believe the owner is done with his car (exterior and interior-wise). It's awesome to meet someone for the first time and talk about cars to getting to know them and hanging out and eventually call them a friend.

looks good...lol did he get new wheels from the last pix?

 

love everything but those tips... they seem strangely mounted for some reason (maybe an angle of photography thing)

 

Omar, yes he got some new wheels that are less "pimpy" as one of the members here said

I think it's just the angle of the pictures. FYI, those tips were bought from ebay and needed professional welding/bending to get them to fit. If anyone is thinking about getting them, be ready to take it to a shop to mount them correctly.

edwin, do you think that this install is a DIY job, or does it need to be done at a bodyshop? If it is a DIY, including a instruction sheet would be a great idea.

Sorry for being unclear. I was wondering if the bumper install is a DIY job, or should it be left to a professional.

The OEM turbo bumper is a breeze for a DIY as it's pretty much a direct bolton. The only issue is that the bolts on the bottom of the bumper do not line up with the holes in the 996 nb. The turbo rear can also be a DIY but only if you decide not to reuse the bumperette covers. My shop took over 4 hours to measure and cut and remeasure the rear bumperette covers to fit onto the turbo rear. We thought it would be a cleaner look so we went for it
