265 km/h = 165 mp/h in German autobahn. Still accelerating a bit. My car is 996 3.4 Carrera 2 with Aero package. No other upgrades. I dont know if it is the Aero-Kit but my car went so smooth at that speed - like a bullet train. After 160 km/h the ride got better and better.

Here is a funny thing. After riding that fast for some time it sounded like my car had cleared its throat. The sound has been so much better after that.

996 stock c2 150mph or so but i know it had more, 2000 VW tdi w/ huge turbo 152mph measured mile

 

in my 99 c2 i hit 167 with more to go... and in my 01 ive only got to 135... no need to go that fast!! you blow a tire your done!!!! but you at least have to try it once! just stick to the curvy roads!!!

Edit: In terms of legality, when travelling in France, I believe the constitutional status of us brits is 'invader', so as long as we don't breach the Geneva Convention, its all good.
