01 C2: Facelift front end or 997 front end??
Which is makes more sense in terms of styling that fits the rest of the car and of course price. I am planning on buying this car crashed and modifing it, However i want it to look OEM+ aka Clean and sophisticated. So any ideas pics or advice would be great.
I am looking now for manufactures of replica bumpers, side skirts and spoilers. I am also trying to find a nice set of relica wheels.

hahhah true...Do you think a 997 front end will fit the lines of a 996 c2, As the 997 c2 is also a wide body if i am correct??

I agree convert it to a 997......I am about to convert my 99 996 c2 into a 997 gt3 front end.......however I am going to do it the right way using oem porsche parts as I've heard too many horror stories regarding using fibre glass parts!
It is a lot more work but worth it for the quality.......and let's not forget.....this is a Porsche we are talking about!

well I have bought all the parts I need for the conversion and am thinking about going for the fvd gt3 look rear bumper.
I have spoken to a guy in columbia who has done the conversion and gave me great advice and pics.........now I'm just waiting for my friend who owns a garage to clear some space so we can strip the car down and fit the panels.
It's certainly not a straight forward job....but it is certainly doable!
the main tricky part is getting the 997 fender to match the door line of the 996 door.......some cutting and wealding is needed!
should start the project in a couple of weeks!....can't wait! :-)

yeah it seems that the fenders are the critical part as everything else is bolt on from what I have read. Make sure to take pics and note any tips you can think of as you go through this. I wish there was a way to have your guy make up two sets of fenders so I could purchase them from you/him. Save a lot of prep for me trying to figure it out over here. Do you think that is possible? Maybe we could discuss this further.

This is probably bias, but the facelift 996 headlights are my favorite headlights on a 911 so I'm gonna have to say go with the facelift front end

ummmm, but the money spent to go from 99 to 02 head light look is about the same as going from the 999 (which ever year you pick) to the 997 look. And, I REALLY think the round headlights look better. Your car still looks nice though.
BTW, some fool done stole the grass right off from your yard and your neighbors yard!!!! What has think world come to!?!

u mean From 99-01 to 02-05/turbo
and 996 to 997

They are both narrow bodies but I think the 997 is a tad wider than the 996. I am only guessing this since other people have voiced this over and over. Also, if you look at some of the pics of a 997 front end, it seems to stick out just a little more. But they are both narrow bodies. For that matter, the C4 is also a narrow body. The "S" on the other hand is wide body.
