If they were for a Chevy, FORD or Dodge they'd be $75.00, but stuff for our P-cars is always overpriced.

However I agree the prices for exhaust tips are unreasonable.

I got it from vertex porsche at 289$.. I can live with that price,
but 500$ just not worth it!!

That is still inane. 300% markup is not right.

im very happy to see im not the only one getting a little tired of overly priced porsche products. too bad porsche owners tend to be more financially stable and support/encourage this highway robbery. Makes it much harder for us dreamers to keep up : (

I have a strong feeling 996 owners are a thriftier lot, and do not have as deep pockets as the 997 crowd. This kind of insane pricing of trinkets to "dress up" the early cars just doesn't jive with the 996 crowd. Am I wrong?

alan berry is absolutely right, im sure if most of us were better off financially we'd be driving 997's by now : ). Many of us (including myself) only own 996's because they are the ones that took the hardest depreciation hit, and were the most within reach. its ok, i'll have my 997 c4s one day, but i still wont drop $500 on tips.

Ditto. See change.

I got actual 997s tips off ebay for $75 and it was like $50 to have them put on my car. $500 for tips is just nuts.

Nice work on the 997 tips! Got any pics of how they look on your 996? Now that's a man who is using his head and saving a TON of money for other uses. I'll bet the genuine article factory 997 tips are far better quality (and a lot less pimpy looking) than the over priced after market tips at the start of this thread.

The fabspeed tips, while over priced, are good quality. They have Vband connectors on them and are of high quality metal.

But, good work on the 997 tips. Can we get a pic?

I'm amazed at how much all these companies charge just for simple tips.

My local muffler shop has some very similar ones for the fraction of the price. $75 each i believe?

But i definitely agree with everyone that when something is for a Porsche, it gets marked up ridiculously!

I understand your concern but there is more than what meets the eye. What you don't know is the amount of time that goes into designing a Lost wax Cast Stainless piece which is used on the new 996 Tips as the Internal V for the Dual tips. Also the cost of the equipment and tooling that it takes to make this is expensive and very precise. That is why our tips are more expensive but also the best looking on the market.

The updated price on the Tips alone are $375 and we have them in stock and ready to ship.
If the Dual tips are purchased with the our Maxflo muffler as a combination for $1395, the tips are only an additional $300.
I am offering a $50 discount to all 6speed members and the first 5 buyers receive free shipping which I meant have on the first post, so I apologize for that.

PM or email me if you have any questions. I attached a few more pictures below.

Thanks,

Hi Alex,

Do you have pics of the tips on Mk1 rear bumper? It would be hard to buy them "blind" without knowing how they will turn out.

Thanks.
