Fabspeed 996 Dual Style Tips ready and In stock

We just finished our Dual style tips for the 996 cars 1999-2004. The new tips incorporate a 1 Piece Cast stainless steel internal V for the dual split that bolts onto the muffler for maximum flow and the least amount of restriction with two nice 3.0" and 2.75" polished tips to finish it off. The new tips are all T304 stainless steel and mirror polished to enhance the aggressive style of your Carrera.
  • Simple bolt on installation on to Fabspeed mufflers or any aftermarket muffler designed to fit like stock.
  • $375 for the set
Thanks, and let me know if you have any questions.

they look nice, but full muffler systems are in the $8-900 range, are these tips really worth 60% of an exhausts cost?

I have a similar question. Your exhaust systems are about 1150 with oval tips and 1000 w/o tips. (rough numbers) While you can buy the same oval tips separately for I think 495 as well. Could you buy the exhaust system and substitute the dual tips for the same price as oval?

I agree, too pricey for just a look upgrade, it wont make the car faster!
I bought the dual(turbo/c4s) look for much cheaper.

Absolutely no justification for two exhaust tips to be priced at well over $500 with shipping. Pure cosmetics. I guess if enough people are willing to pay it...well...a fool and his money are soon parted.

Price seems hi for exhaust tips. Of course, I spent $600 on LED tails... hmmm. Then again, those are unique tails and no competition to speak of, so the price warrants the demand/supply. Throw in mufflers and we have a deal! Wait, I already have your mufflers. What else could you throw in?

Tips couldn't have more than $50-$75 in materials, the rest is pure mark up. It's about time smart P-car owners make a stand and don't buy overpriced cosmetic bling.

I couldn't agree more. This is one of many examples!! Another are sway bar links, if you look at the Porsche product it is double if not more money then the Subaru, Audi or Mitsubishi sway bar links of similar design, and of comparable size and materials! These are products that are from the same manufacturer that has seen many sway bar link failures! I won't mention names but I'm sure most of you know the culprit...

I think they look great on the Mk2. But do you have pictures of it on a Mk1? That's what I drive and I've trouble envisioning how it would look on my car.

If I opted for these in your Muffler/Tip bundle, do I just top up the difference in the Tip cost between regular Oval and these new Dual tips?

Thanks.

Less expensive than these and the Fabspeed look better -

However I agree the prices for exhaust tips are unreasonable.

It is irrelevant that they are cheaper than others. The true issue is how ridiculous the markup is on parts just because it's for a porsche. You honestly could go to a shop and have them make you some for 1/2 that cost. Or if your handy or have friends, you could make your own.

Agreed, Draxus. These pimped out tips are not rocket science, they would very simple for any hot rod shop to make and add nothing to the car but dead weight at the rear. One could make the argument that simply removing and properly buffing the stock tips (actually nicer looking pieces) definitely would add a lot to the appearance of the rear of any 996.

In today's economy we need to send a message to these greedy shops taking advantage of P-car owners.
