Do GT3 wheels fit a NB 996?

Wondering if the GT3 wheels fit a NB 996. I have a 1999 C2. They are 8x18 and 11x18 wide, 50 and 45 off sets.

I thought they would fit, but most places selling say only C4s and Turbo cars???

I assume you mean 996 GT3 wheels cuz the 997 GT3 wheels are different

996 GT3

f: 18" x 8.5" et 40mm
r: 18" x 11" et 63mm

you do the math

Yes, they do fit as long as they are from a 996 series GT3. My brother has a set of OEM 996 GT3 wheels on his 2001 996 and they fit perfectly with no issues whatsoever.

I guess the ones I was looking at were replica wheels with the above listed off sets. Not sure if they will fit or not. Will have to call about the fitment.

Yes, interested in the 996 GT3 wheels, not 997

I found this on another post. Did not know there was a difference in the 996 gt3 Body style.

gt3 wheels from 996 gt3 are
rear 18 x 11 et 63
front 18 x 8.5 et 40

gt3 wheels from 996 wide body, turbo or c4s are
rear 18 x 11 et 45
front 18 x 8 et 50

I believe those are MkI and MkII GT3 specs...the specs I gave you are for the MkII 996 GT3...the MkI GT3's had 8" wide front wheels....as far as I know all 996 GT3's were narrow body cars...I do not know if it was possible to order GT3 wheels that would fit a wide body without spacers

I am not familiar with these models to begin with, but was there a GT3RS that had a wide body?

Most of the replica GT3 wheels I see have the off sets in my OP.

there was no 996 GT3RS in the states, Europe had a 996 Club Sport GT3 that was also a narrow body...I'm only talking OEM wheels not replicas...obviously if they are a different offset they are not made for a GT3...there were two models of 996 GT3's the Mk1 and Mk2...the early cars (Mk1's) had 8" front wheels and 11" rears but I don't know the offsets...mine is a Mk2 and those are the sizes and offsets I posted...you might be able to help here...what are the stock offsets and wheels sizes for your car

There are 2 kinds of GT3 style wheels, those for narrow body cars, and those for wide body cars. The specs you listed are for GT3 style wheels in the wide body form. They will not fit your 1999 C2.

However, the GT3 wheels for NB cars will fit. The 8.5" front may rub your fender liner depending on the tire size and alignment. Too much caster will not help you. You should not have to roll the fender to get 225/235/245 to fit. The rear 11" may also rub, but on the actual fender. You may have to roll the fenders to get 285/295/305s to fit.

Here is the relevant info:

GT3 wheels are available as follows:

1- 8" x 18" - ET50 - Fits the front of any 996
2- 8.5" x 18" - ET40 - Fits the front of any 996
3- 11" x 18" - ET 45 - Fits the rear of a widebody 996
4- 11" x 18" - ET63 - Fits the rear of any 996 and widebody 996 w/spacer
5- 12" x 18" - ET45 - Fits on the rear of 996 GT2 only

Items 2 and 4 are standard GT3 Wheels
Items 1 and 3 are optional on 996 C4S and Turbo

I understand the differences on these now. I just did not know at first there was a wide body option on these wheels. Will keep up with my searching...
