I've seen a lot of early 996 owner do something to their headlights. Has anyone ever done this?

bexs996 on this board. from the pics i've seen bexs looks cleaner/better

 

I've seen bex's and I like the total black tint (especial with a black car) but I couldn't manage that on photoshop w/o it looking like crap. What I don't like about bex's is the black cover's the headlight's upper outer ring which imo makes it look aftermarkety and a little ricey. I think it'd look really if someone would make 997ish style ring to go round the headlight then u tinted the bottom portion black.

I think I like this look. I wonder how it would look in guards red? Is there a special process for painting the light lenses?
