gas mileage?
gas mileage?
what are you guys getting per tank?
im experience rather low mileage, 280km per tank
that is no highway driving, only city driving and when i see though the gauge it stats 16.9L/100km
something wrong or its normal?

I have never really calculated it manually, but I dont think your estimate is far off. In the city they like the juice, could also depend on your driving habits. Do you like to make it howel? I assume people with a sport exhaust will get poorer consumption readings since spirited driving usually requires more agressive pedal movement.
Unless this is your DD, whats an extra couple bucks to get front row seats to the orchestra!:-)

Are you serious you really care about mileage? This is a sports car sight.OK here goes,The only time I checked it I got 32 mpg on cruse for aprox 300 miles. After that a Ferrari came up behind me on the PCH(hwy 1) and we played for about 30 miles so I stopped counting. It sounds to me like you might have a problem.Do you have any performance issues?Missing, sluggish throttle response etc...?
Actually, most experienced, mature, intelligent people do care. And logging your mileage over time is an inexpensive, good way to have an indication of the engine's health.
If I do mostly town driving, I see low 20's. The greater the mix of highway (and the more I use cruise control) the closer it approaches 30mpg. A day at a PCA track event is closer to 13mpg.
The green I am interested in has more to do with saving money. I want a good performing car--but not one that is inefficient.

well i get around 280km, i pump 94
which is rather low... compared to what you guys are getting out of your 996 (mind you its all city-driving)
also another problem is, my 996 seems to eat a lot of engine oil... last time i got my engine oil changed was.. 3000km+/- and now the oil meter seems to only have around 2 - 4 bars left
while i drive the engine oil meter seems to always be near 5 and 4, only will it drop to 3 - 2 when its in neutral at a stop light
would my car be burning oil? i dont really push the 996 as much lately, which i'd love to but just going up to 4k rpm to hear the growl of the PSE is good enough
