Hey all,
Just did the Targa switch install to use as my garage door opener. Used part number 996 613 119 10 A05....$50 ouch, but worth getting rid of the huge button hanging from the visor. Did the whole install and it works great. Only problem is the switch is matt black and the empty switch as well as the window switches are polished black. Did I buy the wrong switch? Thanks for reading. Respectfully, Newbie 996 owner

 

I did something similar with the OBC hack and used a cap from a footwell switch. Only problem gloss footwell switches not avail, only available in matte.

The Fix---->I used spray can clear coat (2 light coats) on the switch cap and wala, a glossy switch!
