Transmission Rattling Noise

Hello,

I have previously posted a concern in regards to the rattling noise in the transmission. I've contacted Porsche and the field representative said it's normal. I am not 100% satisfied since I do feel that something is wrong.

If you have time, could you please take a look at the video clip below and let me know if your car makes the same noise (or if you know what the problem is). The throw out bearing was replaced but the noise is still there. The noise is NOT there when the car is cold (eg: first start in the morning).

Thank you!

did you replace it with a light weight fly wheel, cause they always rattle at iddle.

Nope. I am using the stock flywheel!

I should also mention that the car is making quite a bit of backlash (or whatever you call it). For example, if you let off the gas at around 2000RPM, you can hear a 'thump' noise from the rear end. Weird!

That sound is the dual mass flywheel (at idle ) some rattle,
some don't, according to a master Porsche tech. not serious,
at least thats what I was told.

I have a 2009 997.2 c2 pdk making a rumbling sound at 1300 rpm when warm, under light acceleration Not there under heavier acceleration everything serviced and updated (PDK, MOUNTS ...) I have adapted to brisk acceleration once car is warmed never looked back

A thump from the rear end sounds like motor mounts. The hydro motor mount fail and leak and become flobbery. The other thump is from the gearbox mount. Mine had failed and was causing that thump which then translates into the motor mounts failing much quicker as well. I use the Flat6 Cup mounts on my car and left the hydraulic ones behind. The video link did not work for me, btw.
