It is rather hard to condense the birth of a 911 into one hour, including commercial breaks. After watching it, as the show was titled, it was more on the manufacturing process and less of the technical aspect of the car. With that being said, being the geek that I am (mechanical engineer with 25 yrs), and having done time in a GM plant, the Porsche factory was spotless and well illuminated with lots of fancy equipment.

Thumbs up

Lots of fancy automated equipment. Plant was quite impressive and I loved how meticulous they were with the leather fitment. Last week was the gm plant with camaro and prior the lambo factory with the murci as the focal build. Great show and fantastic in hd.

Yeah, I saw the Ultimate Factory - Lamborghini one last week as well! That was AWESOME! Makes me want to trade in my C4S Cab for a Gallardo or Murci Roadster! Gotta save up my pennies for that... or win the Lotto/Mega-Millions/Sweet-Million!

They paid an awful lot of attention to the GT 3. I thought those cars were made at a different factory?
