Unhappy Noisy Hard Top

Does anyone have any idea how I can stop the vibration / rattling noise I get when driving with my hard top on??? It sounds like something is lose in /on the top on the driver’s side.

When I went to the Dealership the salesperson said something about its like that when it gets cold outside.

I may have been born at night, but NOT last night!!!

Try removing the hardtop, and spray silicone lubrication on the windshield header gasket, and very carefully spray lithium grease in the mounting holes for the top at the rear. Also there is a rubber gasket along the bottom of the rear of the top, make sure it is sprayed with silicon spray as well.

Lastly there are 2 mounting points in the windshield header outboard next to the sunvisor mounts. Carefully spray a little lithium grease in there as well.

Creaking, rattling, groaning are all symptoms of dry gaskets and connections.

Sometimes the rear latches in the corners are bad, once replaced, its fine.
