I KNOW that the local shop that I use charges much less than that! AND they use nothing but factory parts.

Check out FastForwardperformance.com

I know it's not local to you, but heck I thought everything cost more in LA!!

Might be a good idea to ask these questions BEFORE you get the service done. The reservoir tank should be no more than $600.

If the indie or dealer that you are pricing is doing more than the std perscribed 30K service (ie: oil service, cabin filter, air filter gen insp and scan af all ecu's in the car), than it may not be out of line.

It sounds like your getting quoted on a 60 K service. That would be ok if you are getting all the 60K service items and wanted be more agressive in your servicing. really your call.

A normal 30K is typically somewhere between $500 to $600. That said, IMO porsche service intervals are rather high. Porsche used to perscribe 15K anual services which were pretty aggressive back in the day. The parts and engine management systems are better these days though. I service my own cars with greater frequency than the perscribed maintenance intervals- I do a 60K type service at 30K. Also, brake flush needs to get done every 2 years, 3 on the outside, regardless of milage. (i do mine anually or before every track event). Most dealers don't include that in any std maintenance, instead upselling it separately.

That is back in the 964 days when you needed to adjust the valves every 15k miles.
