9500Xi the valentine answer might have worked four years ago.

I've got a K40 in the car (turned off) and a Passport

 

I'm planning on getting the PASSPORT 9500ci installed in the near future.

 

V1. Once you have arrows there is no going back.

 

car came with K40 still did not feel safe so added Valentine and it goes off before K40?

 

K40 is junk. Worst laser jamming on the planet as well. Gimmick.

Love my hardwired V1

 

I'm about to install the 9500ci myself. I chose it over the K-40, which I have had before in another car. I want it concealed, so V1 is out of the picture.

*** Edited to add: I have a Cab, which makes hiding places a little more difficult.

 

I went with a V1. Hard wired it up next to the rear view mirror, then installed the small remote display next to the driver's side pillar. Nicely concealed and the main unit does not show any of the lights or alarms, no-one can see it from behind either.
