The 997 tail lights would look real good on a 996. Thanks again for all your help Kirky.

I wasn't sure if a set of tail lights from a 997 c4s would fit a 996 c4s . Can anyone verify this please ?

Go with Gunmetal Rims. I don't have an example on a 996 but these show the contrast with yellow or red calipers. You will lose your wheels in the car if they are black on black and bore of the color scheme pretty quickly. You need a contrast but don't do some bright red/yellow/blue etc it will cheapen the car and black cars need to maintain the class they have.

Not a lot of contrast all blacked out, giving the impression that its not your "dads" porsche.
I'm just about ready to get my rims done. I'm going with a metallic graphite/gun metal look. I'm just curius, what type of finish did you use? semi-gloss? flat?. Thanks

gunmetal might look odd Gloss. You might consider doing a sample on another piece of metal prior. just my 2 cents. cheaper to see it small imho

Take the pic from the car/colored wheel you like to the shop. I think gunmetal as well. It is non gloss.

Once again thanks for the help. Now that it was brought up I kinda see that a gloss on a gun metal finish might not be the right look. So you guys think that a flat finish will be the best result with a metallic gun metal paint? H20SKIER, what type of finish to think those Ferrari rims are that you posted?

It's a funny finish. It's not true flat and not a true gloss. kind of a glossy flat look.... I can try to take a better photo of my car but the close up on my white car is a good representation of it. Your best bet would be to find a Scuderia local and see if the guy will show it to you. A good powder coater can match it. You will have a sick ride with those colored rims. Black won't look good after about a month to you. I promise.
