996 Turbo or Supercharger Kit for California

Hey all
I just got my first Porsche, 2004 C2, with Aero Kit, sports exhaust, GT3 wheels....... I love it so much
I live in California and would like some advice on my options for either a Turbo or Super Charger kit. I am under the impression that the VF 996 supercharger kit is not CA. legal. Maybe I am wrong.
Also if anyone can give me the pro's and cons of Turbo vs. Supercharger I would appreciate it. I am not going to track and top speed isn't important. Acceleration between 0-100 is what I am looking for most.
I am a newbie and would appreciate some help!! Thanks
Rob

IMO get the turbo kit, the vf sc kit really comes alive on the track
you may have a problem getting both kits to pass emssions in CA though

I would suspect that you would have issues either way getting them to pass the visual inspection... we have many CA clients that really just dont worry about it though. Maybe some will chime in!

Well Rob,

If you are a patient guy......WAIT...I have a gut feeling once TPC finishes their turbo 110%....there will be a lot of superchargers coming up for sale...CHEAP,LOL!!!
One thing to note...I am thinking that the Turbo will be an easier install......and also the turbo COMES with exhaust....so you are money ahead there!
No need for after-market mufflers and/or cats.........TPC includes them!

GL with your decision!

Stacy
