GT3 Front Bumper for 2000 C4 Cab - Recommendations

I'm considering several GT-3 bumper upgrades for my 2000 C4 cab including Precision Porsche and the Duraflex product by Extreme Dimensions. I'd appreciate any advice and comments on fit and finish, bang for the buck on these and other options.

Actually I'm looking at the 997 GT-3 front bumper version.

Don't have a specific source but I highly recommend a urethane type like the OEM. The fiberglass may look good to start, but the first bump you get will crack them. You really want the flexible materials, particularly for bumpers.

I agree. At least, get a frp with a urethane lip.

The Duraflex material looks good too, but I have not run into anybody that has used one. It is inexpensive and if fitment is good, it might be a winner. Wanna try and let us know?

I have the same car and not alot 2000 c4 cab's out there. I just finished the same process.. same bumper. I wanted urethane and the oem. I was lucky to order a GT3 oem bumper from Mike Shaw who typically doesn't sell them..timing is everything and a good price. Suncoast has an oem front MKI/GT3 bumper for $1,764(forum price + shipping)/ Dealer prices $2,100. I haven't received the bumper just ordered last week. Tony at Precision was responsive but no urethane in a GT3 but does have a turbo in urethane if you want to go that way..If you want more details on other replies..check the threads there is alot of personal opinions out there. Its all about personal taste..

To the OP, after going through this dilemma myself, I decided to stay out of fiberglass. With a lowered car, this just makes the best sense. Poly choices are very limited......OEM Mk1 GT3 or Turbo (at Suncoast). GT2s are FRP but with a poly lip. I've looked at the Duraflex stuff, but after giving it a thought, and no one here that I know had actually tried their product yet, I decided not to be the guinea pig and find out myself if there are any fitment issues or not. I did have a hard time picking between the OEM GT3, the Turbo, and the GT2s. After a very long decision making process, I went with the OEM Mk1 GT3. In the long run, I believe this will remain the classic bumper for the Mk1s when all others had worn off, but this is just my opinion.

Dont do 997 (No need to Pose) and dont do Fiberglass... Go with 996 MK1 GT3 Bumper by far the best looking Bumper... Have you Cosidered the MK1 Ruf Bumper?

The factory Aerokit bumpers are pretty inexpensive, PM me for pricing. If you want the GT3 look, you can paint the lower lip black, and custom-install the upper air grille (an additional $30.00 part).
