I figured I wanted my engine compartment to start matching the exterior mods. So I ordered and got for a very good price direct from Fabspeed.
Here's my honest opinion.
Is the kit worth it. Yes and No.
For the plastic pieces that go inside the airbox, No. My "Cup" I was using to replace the muffler is actually made of thicker thermoplastic than the fabspeed unit. That being said it was held in by the rubber gromet and the tension between a lip on the cup and the airhose on the otherside I clamped it into. The Fabspeed unit screws into place and is visible from the outside so it has to look more professional as my "cup" is not visible unless you disassemble the airbox/hose unit.
As for the Red hose. Yes, it is worth it. $200 bucks worth it, I guess since many of us spend much more to accent our interiors and exteriors. Now my engine compartment looks a little more dressed up. I think they should offer a carbonfiber look for the tube instead of Red, but it still looks good.
As for sound, identical to my "Cup" hack. FYI: I have not changed the air filter from stock at this point.
I'll try to post pics in the next few days when I have time.
Cheers,
Corey

If anyone wants to lend me some dyno time in the NJ area I'll do a before and after. What I can tell you is once I took out the muffler with the "cup" hack, the throttle response was better.
