I have these on my 996 and like them. I do wish they were thinner (maybe aluminum) though.

Don, would you kindly post a close-up pic of yours? How thin are they? I just want to make a comparison on the thickness and fitment. If my guy fails to do a good job on the triangle-delete or if the fitment is a lot better on yours, then this will possibly be my next option. I believe yours are MA Shaw?

Looks good, but I would also get rid of the amber turn signal bulb/amber lens (can't tell which in your case). They sell silver ones that turn amber when lit up on Ebay.

I'm actually in my garage right now attempting to take mine off. I just like things to be factory.

Tried stealth bulbs already. The ambers are built into the housing. Already got an instruction sheet on how to remove that built-in amber cover which involves a little bit of hacking.

If they're still in one piece, let me know if you would like to sell them.

I read that thread too and it is more hacking than it is worth.

They are in one piece, but a guy in our PCA chapter expressed an interest in having them a while ago. If he hadn't I'd give them to you. I'm thinking I may just keep them for when I want a new look. I have no idea where the PO got them so I can't even help with that info. If I see them somewhere I'll give you a shout.

Here are some after pictures. My feeling is this is how they were meant to look, the lines work, everything is correct. My inspiration to take the covers off was the GT3 buyers guide in the February edition 911 & Porsche World. I saw that silver GT3 and that is how I wanted mine to look. My 10 year old even said, "it looks more Porsche dad." If it makes sense to a 10 year old who am I to argue?

Please excuse the garage...that is a project I have yet to tackle.

Thanks Alpine! I bought it in October and LOVE it.

Here's one I took today and a couple from the previous owner. The PO owns Rennline so the pedals and aluminum race mats are his products.

Nice interior color. Is it the terra cotta red?

I would describe the color as terra cotta, but the factory name is Boxster Red.

I bought a set in seal gray great color match but I did not like the potential fitment looked so I never installed. You job looks good but still not natural enough for me.

Better. IMO, the headlight trims look much better on dark-colored cars than on light-colored cars. That's why I'm still playing around with it.
