headlight trim - yay or nay?

I wish it could've been a bit more flush but how do you guys like it? My brother liked it. The person who did the prep and painting also liked it. I'm still 50/50 and it is easily removed if I decide to ditch it. But I'd like to know the opinions of the people here. Thanks.

Normally I don't like this mod but I think it looks cool with the other work you have done to your car. I say keep it.

I think that almost nobody liked this mod before, period. But, 1) it does look good in your car, and 2) everybody is getting VERY used to the round lights so the mod is more accepted... tastes and preferences evolve. I know this was mi case; I hated it, and now I find myself toying with the idea . Keep it looks good.

Although the paint work looks good and your car looks freaking incredible...
I dont like it at all. It looks like a cheap peice of plastic with asymetrical holes cut it in and glued to your headlights. If they wouldnt have cut so many shapes- circles, squares, and rounded triangles, it would be ok. But as-is it is too busy for the porsche. Even if the cutout for the useless headlight triangle didnt exist, it would be greatly improved.

PsychoSid, show a close-up of what you have with two holes, it looks pretty good from afar.

I think the mod looks fine and if you tire of it you can just take it off.

It looks like a "Pep Boys" accessory. Adding a sheet of light-medium film (see link) would look much cleaner. https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...ml#post2671671

That is why I am at 50/50. This was actually designed for cars with the headlamp washers which is the reason why there is still the cut-out for that little triangle where the headlamp washer is supposed to be. My main complaint for this product is that it should've been thinner for better integration. Maybe I should get another set and modify it by doing a "triangle-delete".

That is one thing good about this. It is easily removed.

Tell me about it. I was able to raise my rear wing only once. Really hard to drive a fast car slow. Maybe another reason is because I drive the car mostly with my 4-yr old and my 6-yr old with me so gotta take it slow anyway.

Your headlight trim looks very nice!

I can say improving on the headlight aesthetics for the mk1 is really a challenge. Even though I am not a fan of the MAShaw pieces, maybe I should try those. They may work better on dark-colored cars.

I've seen a couple of pics of this light-medium film combined with the headlight trim. Doesn't look that good for me.

Anyway, a couple more pics at slightly different angles. And looking at these, doing a "triangle-delete" may seem to make them look better. What I'll do is cover the triangle in black and see how the result would look like.
