What is the average thickness for headlight trims? I see the most common complaint is them being too thick.

- How think would be be acceptable?
- How are they fastened to the light? Glued?

I tried the baking method for opening a broken taillight. It worked, I was able to open the light up but....I had over heated it just a little bit and the lens deformed when I pulled it apart. Good thing it was already broken because it was ruined after that. It was a fun experiment.
