Re dye alcantara

Is it possible to re dye alcantara in a different color? I have found that it is possible with leather and vinyl, but nothing on alcantara.

I've used fabricspraypaint.com upholstery paint on alcantara with good results

Anyone know why this fabric site and other spray sites have no gray/silver color chioce at all??

Just came across this ancient thread. Since I am considering something similar, I'd like to know how this paint held up over time. Did it rub off? Create a worn look? After how much use?
