this thread made me cringe!

thinking of modding a car before you learn how to drive it?!

A tune on a non turbo car?!

going from a stop to 6th gear with just your left foot and cruise control?! really? there is no practical application for this! Going from a stop to rolling with just your left foot is perfect advice.

That way you get a feel for the clutch.

Radgirl Congrats on the 911. But boy did you open a can of worms. I started buying a Boxster for my wife's b-day 3 weeks later I traded it on a 996 Cab, then a year and a half later a 996 coupe and then a year later a 911tt x50. So you are far from done. Enjoy the car, good luck with it and welcome to the family. Oh and by the way a woman driving a 911 very cool.

I do see very few women around here who drive 911's all different models, but when I do it's great to see them drive.

My wife drives my car from time to time. She had a Boxster before I got my X50. She doesn't need help w/ a stick and drives as good or better then most men I have rode w/.

Quote: Seriously whats wrong with kids these days. They assume that they're one two mods make their car faster than everything on the road. It seems that all kids without Porsches are just idiots
Because we cannot resist the bait and respond to every challenge, we are challenged on nearly every drive. I guess I am saying we are guilty to some extent. I admit it, I drove an old mans Acura RL for a while and never thought once about taking off fast. I get my pcar and lust for the opportunity to find a sports car up a hill to go catch. The feeling of racing up a hill in my 911 is ... pure joy. Guilty as charged
