2000 C2 wheels and tires
Some help please. I am a new owner of a 2000 C2 cab with the optional 18" Turbo Twist wheels which I would like to replace. What is the maximum width wheels and tires that I can install without ANY chance of rubbing? Car is not lowered. I have seen some posts with 295 x 18" rears, will these fit a narrow body? I would like to find a set of used wheels from the OEM options list (Carrera Classics?) that I saw for model year 2000 C2's. Will these be correct for 295 rears? What are the offsets front and rear, wheel widths, and tire widths I should be looking for? Any opinions on 19's? Thanks in advance for any help out there.
Typical size and offset for the narrowbody
18 by 8 ET 50 fronts and 18 by 10 ET 65 for the rears with 225/40/18 and 295/30/18 can be run without any worries
Of course you can go more aggressive with width/offset/tire size but then you've got to think of clearance, etc.

geetee, thanks so much for the help. I will look for those exact sizes. The cars look so good from the rear with the 295's. Thanks again. If anyone out there has these size OEM (non Turbo Twist style) wheels, please contact me.
Just remember, if you're going for style or bragging rights then wider rear is fine but it will introduce a certain level of understeer which you can correct with aftermarket suspension and alignment.

Alpine 03, thanks for he information. Do you have any suggestions as to suspension mods or alignment specs that would be appropriate to counter the understeer you refer to? Thanks in advance.
Also what works for one driver can feel awkward to another. If you're use to driving FWD or some AWD cars then you might not even notice it too much. On the other hand if you've been driving RWD muscle cars your whole life then you probably would.
If you do a search, you will find all sorts of setups that have worked for various people. It comes down to what kind of driver you are, where you plan on driving it, budget, comfort level. I'm sure you'll find one that matches what you're looking for.
FYI, I will be installing a ROW suspension kit from Porsche and running 285-30-18's Continental Conti-Extremes(65mm w/15mm spacers) in the rear so I'll be able report on that hopefully soon.

I am no pro on off sets and the like, but my car came with GT3 wheels at 8.5 in the front and 11" in the rear. It is lowered with H&Rs and I have never experienced any rubbing. The GT3 wheels look great too.
