996 track car impulse buy?

I just purchased this 996 on impulse after reading the description. I like the set up, however the miles on the chassis scares me. It has 120K on the chassis with 45K on a new engine and the price seems very good. I have been looking for a track car for awhile, and was getting a little desperate. I haven't received the car yet but now I'm going back and forth on if I did the right thing, or if I just let my obsessive compulsive disorder put me in a pickle, like when I married my second wife. Need some third party opinions 'Good or Bad' as my girlfriend is sick of hearing about it. Thanks

It's got some miles on it but the reman motor's only got 45k. Call up autotalent or gmg. They're both sponsors here. Seems like you did good.

don't let a little buyers remorse get you down, you knew a good deal when you saw it and seized the moment, I couldn't see the ebay listing, but get it set up the way you want it for the track and enjoy the heck out of it. Wish I just bought a $20K track car that will bring me a rate of return in fun premium....you can always sell it for what you bought it for...if you need to.

Looks like a good price with all the extras. Lots of stock parts to sell off it it is indeed destined to be a track car, so how can you go wrong?

As far as price, my friend bought a 2002 with 95k on it last year for $18k, original motor.

Saw that car on ebay and considered it. I decided against it because it does not have an LSD. I picked up one that did. Having said that, unless you are competitive, an LSD is probably not a big deal.

You can always install a LSD if you really want it, but regardless congrats, looks like you got a pretty good deal considering the add-ons and low mileage motor

Thanks

Thanks for the great feed back. I received the car today and besides a few undisclosed scratches here and there, it's pretty nice and very solid. My girlfriend even likes it

Of all the bolt ons, an LSD is an expensive and difficult one to do.

I was actually considering this car when I saw it on autotrader. I emailed the guy but never heard back. Now I know why!
